Professional Development

Chapter Monthly Programs:  September 1 through June 30

Regina Chapter offers education programs at its meetings with a wide variety of business topics and speakers.  The meetings are held the second Monday or Tuesday of each month, except during July and August. Guests are welcome to all Regina Chapter meetings and events.

The meeting format is usually:


5:00 p.m.  Networking, Registration
5:30 p.m.  Dinner
6:00 p.m.  Program
7:00 p.m.  Business meeting and Chapter activities discussion

Unless otherwise posted, the cost to attend Regina Chapter meetings and education programs is:

Members:            $20 (meal and program)
Non-Members:    $25 (meal and program)
Program only:     $10

Administrative Professionals Week:  April 24-30, 2011

Annually, IAAP-Regina hosts a professional development seminar in conjunction with Administrative Professionals Week. The Spring Seminar 2011 - Getting It All Done, was held on Tuesday, April 26, 2011. View the results of the seminar evaluation here.

In 2010, Regina Chapter was pleased to host the Canada Divisions’ Conference (CDC), May  27-29, including professional development sessions held on May 28, 2010, in conjunction with the conference.  Thanks to all our sponsors for your support of this national event.


IAAP International Education Forum and Annual Meeting

IAAP's premier event, the Education Forum and Annual Meeting (EFAM) was held in Canada in 2011. Montreal hosted this event from July 24-27, 2011, with keynote speaker Clinton Kelly of TLC's What Not to Wear. EFAM also featured outstanding speakers and inspiring educational programs, with numerous opportunities to network with attendees from around the globe.

In 2012, EFAM will be held in Grapevine, Texas.

 

   

Certification

Regina Chapter also provides educational resources and opportunities to achieve and maintain the highest level of professional competence and development, through certification recognized by the administrative profession as the Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) designation.
